Alexandria; A library experience.

A library visit is a great experience for children; Strolling through great halls filled with epic worlds wrapped in small book on endless shelves is mesmerizing; Walking slowly with your head bend, checking over for books who try to catch your eyes, with an appealing cover or name or even by looking old or new. Actually, a library visit is great for grownups as well.

All this is great, but then came the e-Books and so long for nifty covers or for great books that like countless readers have enjoyed them. It’s true, it’s much easier to find an e-book rather than to find one in the library, even if you do have a library-search application.

Alexandria’s keystone was to give e-books the library-experience; showing their side-cover with different sizes and color and allowing the user to take a closer look on books that interest him. No search; if you want to find something, you got to go through the shelves and find the book that you like. Perhaps you’ll find something better. Perhaps you won’t find it at all. But that’s the fun of it, and that’s part of the experience.
